Why we built Rent a Local Friend

The story

We built Rent a Local Friend because “who do I even do this with?” is a bigger problem than dating apps solve. Sometimes you want a date. Sometimes you just want someone who actually knows the city to show you the good ramen place, or a local to grab a drink with on a Tuesday when your friends are all busy.

So Rent a Local Friend is built to hold both, honestly: some people are here to meet a date, some are here to find a companion for a few hours, some just want someone to do a thing with.
